Antoine (Tony) Farid Khoury
October 11, 1936 - October 17, 2018

 

Antoine (Tony) Farid Khoury, 82, died October 17, 2018 at his home in Monroe, Ohio after a long battle with heart disease.

He was born October 11, 1936 in Palestine, one of four children born to Salma Slim-Khoury and Farid Khoury. He immigrated to the United States in 1965 to pursue a college education and live the American dream. While attending David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee, he taught himself English and finished his education with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

After college, he worked his way to become the controller of Nashville City Bank. Later, Tony went on to work as a financial officer for the international division of Hospital Affiliates.

While he was traveling, he met his wife Paula Nehme; they married February 21, 1982. Because he wanted his children to have more opportunities than he did growing up, he and his wife moved back to the United States. Shortly after, they had two daughters Maria-Theresa and Tina.

The family eventually made their way to Cincinnati, Ohio where Tony retired. During his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones including his grandson and namesake, Brady Antoine.

During his final moments, Tony passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and children. He will forever be remembered for his kind heart and his warm smile.  

Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 26 at 3:00 pm followed by a Funeral Mass at 4:00 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe, OH 45050.
